OUR STORY
The San Francisco Bay area is one of the most significant geographic regions in the world. Its 11 counties and 256 cities are known as centers of technology, the arts, education, medicine, and sports. Innovative leaders, renowned scientists, distinguished academics, and world class athletes are among the 7.8 million people who call this area home. And yet according to the Pew Research Center the San Francisco Bay Area is among the least religious regions of the US. Five million residents here are either unchurched or have no religious affiliation.
Led by Chairman of the Board, Pat Gelsinger (Former CEO, Intel) Transforming the Bay with Christ (TBC) was founded in 2013 by a coalition of business leaders, pastors, and nonprofit leaders to focus on developing a grassroots movement to transform the Bay Area through social compassion and service.
We want every person in the Bay Area to experience a difference in their body, in their soul, and in their spirit through the life-changing work of God. Our mission is for people to come to know Jesus Christ as part of that.

“So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”
Ephesians 4:11-13
OUR VISION
We see the Bay Area becoming the most kingdom connected metropolitan region in the US within the next 10 years.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to catalyze a kingdom movement by connecting, equipping, and fostering collaboration among leaders in the church, marketplace, and nonprofit sectors.
OUR PURPOSE
Following the instruction of Ephesians 4:11-13, we acknowledge that Christ has bestowed apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers to equip His people for works of service. And therefore our purpose is to serve as a supporting and empowering force for dynamic leaders already working for the Kingdom in the San Francisco Bay area. We aim to enhance their impact by equipping and connecting them in collaborative networks, facilitating unity in the faith, and fostering the knowledge of the Son of God.
OUR PILLARS
We UNIFY by bringing senior pastors together in catalytic networks.
We AMPLIFY by activating relationships between churches and nonprofit organizations to address social concerns like homelessness, poverty, foster care, and educational inequity.
We MULTIPLY by engaging churches and sending organizations to build a healthy ecosystem for church planting and outreach.
