A note from our Executive Director: Gary Gaddini

As a Bay Area native, I have always been moved by the beauty, innovation, and resilience of this region. After three decades of pastoring here, I have seen the remarkable potential of the Church to bring hope and transformation. My journey with TBC began on its founding board, where I caught a compelling vision for what God can do through a unified Gospel movement in the Bay Area.

Isaiah 61:4 captures this calling: “They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations."

Though often described as one of the most unchurched urban regions in the country, I see the Bay Area as filled with opportunity and with followers of Jesus serving in every sector as spiritual pioneers and innovators. God is already rebuilding lives, families, and communities, and we believe the Church plays a central role in this renewal.

TBC exists to connect, equip, and empower leaders across the 11 counties and 256 cities of the Bay Area to spark Gospel transformation that extends beyond Sunday. Through our three Cs, Connecting, Collaborating, and Catalyzing, we help leaders reimagine what united impact can look like.

We form regional pastoral networks that dream and strategize for their cities. We help faith leaders address major issues such as educational disparity, foster care, food deprivation, and homelessness. We support church planters as they establish new communities of faith. We encourage marketplace leaders to see their workplaces as mission fields and primary spaces for discipleship.

What makes TBC unique is our startup posture. We remain agile, innovative, and deeply relational. Our work is not about building something for ourselves but about joining Jesus in His work through leaders across the Bay who shine as points of light.

Together, the Body of Christ has the privilege of participating in God’s rebuilding and renewing of our cities.

Join us and let us imagine what is possible. Let us rebuild together.

THE GROUND TEAM

  • Gary Gaddini - Executive Director

    At TBC since 2021 - gary@tbc.city

“So many people relocate from around the world to the Bay area. I can actually join Jesus in fulfilling the Great Commission right here. That excites me more than anything.”

  • Amber Eifler - Executive Assistant

    At TBC since 2025 - amber@tbc.city

“It’s a joy to support Kingdom work in a way that reflects the gifts God has given me in administration and organization. As 1 Thessalonians 5:11 reminds us, we’re called to encourage one another and build each other up and I am blessed to support TBC in a way that allows ministry to flourish and unity to grow.”

  • Nancy Ortberg - Director of Horizons

    At TBC since 2015 - nancy@tbc.city

“There are points of light throughout the Bay Area. In every town, people of faith are doing great work – in the marketplace, in churches, in nonprofits. TBC’s role is simply to pull the leaders together to see if we can spark even more.”

  • Paul Taylor - Director of Unify

    At TBC since 2025 - paul@tbc.city

“I’m excited to continue building our networks deeper: with more connection and collaboration, and wider: with more people and regions involved!”

  • Toby Kurth - Director of Multiply

    At TBC since 2019 - toby@tbc.city

“My passion is to help create a healthy ecosystem for churches and church planters. I think it’s essential to train people to think deeply about how they integrate their faith in their lives. Ultimately that will help lead to people coming to faith in Christ.” here

  • Veronica (V) Haniger - Director of Amplify

    At TBC since 2016 - veronica@tbc.city

“There’s so much encouraging work that’s happening here in the Bay Area. I want to make sure we’re celebrating it and supporting the churches in what they’re already doing as we have conversations about the bigger picture of what’s possible to do collectively.” here

CABINET MEMBERS

The Cabinet stewards TBC’s vision, ensures organizational health, and provides spiritual and strategic direction for TBC's mission.

  • Pat Gelsinger

    Founder & Chairman

    Serving with TBC since 2013

“We're thrilled by what's going on with TBC, but we’re just getting started. At 3 to 4%, Christians in the Bay Area are a radical minority. We want to break 10% because that’s when you can have an impact on society. That’s our passionate goal and we’re having fun getting there.”

  • Kevin Compton

    Cabinet Vice-Chair

    Partner/Co-Founder, Radar Partners LLC

    Serving with TBC since 2013

“The church’s job is not to be another place for people to strive. Churches need to be places where the congregant can be refueled and refreshed, to be taught, to be grounded. I’m thankful for the pastors here.

  • Ken Foreman

    Pastor, Cathedral of Faith

    Serving with TBC since 2024

“I am deeply humbled and honored to team up with the work of TBC. This is the most faithful and fruitful network I have seen in my 44 years of pastoring in the Bay Area. “

  • Hurmon Hamilton

Senior and Founding Pastor, New Beginning Community Church

    Serving with TBC since 2013

“I am hopeful because there is a coalition of top business leaders and pastors coming together to make a difference in Silicon Valley.”

  • Susan Van Riesen

    Lead Pastor, Palo Alto Vineyard

    Serving with TBC since 2023

"I love TBC's vision and passion for the Bay Area. As pastors, it's so easy to stay focused on our own church's needs and mission but I've been convinced that we can do so much more together."

  • Peter Wagner

    Founding Partner, Wing Venture Capital

Works with non-profit organizations focused on issues of faith, justice, education, health care, economic development and the environment.

“The Bay Area is in a position of increasing worldwide influence, but is itself struggling. The Church can and must play a leading role in the transformation of our region.”

  • Rob Kelly

Co-Founder & CEO of the City Leaders Collective

    Serving with TBC since 2025

“Because of the Bay Area’s role in shaping culture, imagine the ripple effect across the globe if its pastors, leaders, churches, and communities were alive with gospel transformation, bringing the hope of Christ to every corner of society. That’s the opportunity before us and why I’m so passionate about serving with TBC.”

  • Kevin Palau

President and CEO, the Luis Palau Association

    Founder, TogetherPDX

    Serving with TBC since 2013

“I love to see churches coming together to seek the peace and prosperity of their cities, and to joyfully share the Good News of Jesus. TBC is an amazing example of this, in one of the most influential regions of the world. I’m proud to play a small part in encouraging this ongoing work.”
